Question 923116: A rubber ball is dropped from a height of 9 meters. If it rebounds one-third of the previous fall approximately how far does it travel before it comes to rest?
Answer by srinivas.g(540)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
total height = 9 m
on dropping , it travels 9m towards earth.
Then it rebounds to a height of of total height
=
= 3 m
again after rebounding to height of 3m . it reaches back to ground .
so it travels again 3 m
so total distance covered = 9+3+3 = 15 m
result is 15 m
