If the problem said "3 more than the preceding term," the answer would be

If it just says "more than the preceding term," there are infinite possibilities.
2, 2.001, 5, 5.2, 6, 6.02, 10, 11, 14, 20 would be an option.
2, 100, 1000, 10000, 20000, 50000, 50001, 60000, 70000, 80000 would be another option.
There would be an infinite number of other answers.
