Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
S = ½(2a + (n-1)d)n
100 = ½(2a + (4)6)5
100 = ½(2a + (4)6)5
100=(a+12)*5
100=5a+60
40=5a
a=8
He must have started with 8
So he ate 32 on the 5th day
an = a + (n - 1)d
an = 8 + (4)6
an = 32
8,14,20,26,32
