Five years ago the population of a city was 49,000. Each year they permit an increase of 580 in the population. What will the maximum population be 5 years from now?

FIVE YEARS AGE POPULATION=49,000
10 YEARS FROM THAT YEAR THE POPULATION WILL BE:
49,000+10*580
49,000+5,800=54,800 ANS.
