Question 848573: what is the next number for the sequence: 96, 69, 48, 72, 27, _
Answer by swincher4391(1107) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
common difference:
96 - 69 = 27
69 - 48 = 21
48 - 72 = -24
72 - 27 = 45
Not seeing a pattern.
We try something different.
This is just a stab.
9 + 6 = 15
6 + 9 = 15
4 + 8 = 12
7 + 2 = 9
2 + 7 = 9
?+ ? = 6
|9-6| = 3
|6-9| = 3
|4-8| = 4
|7-2| = 5
|2-7| = 5
|?-?| = 6
I will say the answer is 60. Seems to fit both patterns.
