I do not know a formula way to find this answer, and therefore cannot tell you the formula for the nth term.


But finding the first term to reach 100 is easy. List a few terms. You'll see they quickly rise towards 100.


-3, 0, 2, -1, 1, 2, 2, 5, 9, 16, 30, 55, 101


The 13th term reaches 100.
