In an algebraic sequence, a_(n+1) = a_n + C, for some constant C. For example, 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, ... is algebraic.

In a geometric sequence, a_(n+1) = Ca_n. 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, ... is geometric.
