Determine ifcutive terms is constant =3 the sequence below is arithmetic or geometric and determine the common difference / ratio in simplest form.
5,8,11,...
8-5 =3
11-8=3
The difference between two consecutive term is constant and equal to 3
Hence it is arithmetic
For Geometric t2/t1 = t3/t2
8/5 not equal 11/8 so not geometric.
