How do I classify the following sequences?
(a) r-5, 5, r+5, ... ... ...
(b) p, p^2-1, P^3-2p+1/p, ... ... ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        CLASSIFICATION
    Sequence (a) is written incorrectly.
    Sequence (b) is unreadable (ambiguous).
To make (b) readable, use parentheses to show which part of the formula is the numerator, and which is the denominator.
The meaning of your question is not clear. What does it mean to "classify" a sequence?
Without spending any time on actually working out the problem, either of these sequences might be arithmetic, or geometric, or exponential, or anything else -- depending on the values of the variables.
So, as posted, the question is nonsense.
