Question 1162121: What is the difference between geometric and arithmetic sequences?

The difference is the way we get each succeeding term after the first.

With arithmetic sequences, after the first term, we ADD the same constant,
called the common DIFFERENCE, to each term to get the next term.

With geometric sequences, after the first term, we MULTIPLY the same constant,
called the common RATIO, by each term to get the next term.
