For each row of the table, let's compute the overall volume

Row 1: 20*13*12 = 3120
Row 2: 12*12*12 = 1728
Row 3: 20*10*6 = 1200
all volume amounts above are in "cubic inches"

Now divide each volume by the number of apples for the particular row

Row 1: (3120 cubic inches)/(72 apples) = 43.3333 cubic inches per apple
Row 2: (1728 cubic inches)/(40 apples) = 43.2 cubic inches per apple
Row 3: (1200 cubic inches)/(28 apples) = 42.857 cubic inches per apple
