She's been offered two jobs that will keep her busy during the 4 months (17 weeks)
that she's in town. The 1st job pays $325/month with a monthly raise of $100, and
the 2nd job pays $50/week with a weekly raise of $10. Which job will yield Caitlyn
the higher pay and by how much?

Answer by jorel1380(3719)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1st job:325x4 +100+200+300=1900
2nd job:50x17+
Solved by pluggable solver: Arithmetic Progression (AP) Solver
The first few terms of this AP are:
a=10, a+d=20, a+2d=30, a+3d=40, ...
or, just: 10, 20, 30, 40, ...
The Sum of the first n terms is given by:

So substituting a=10, d=10 and n=16 gives:

=2210
The 2nd job pays better by $310. ☺☺☺☺
