Question 1067098: Ron attends a cocktail party (with his graphing calculator in his pocket). He wants to limit his food intake to 113 g protein, 103 g fat, and 132 g carbs. According to the health conscious hostees, the meatballs have 14g of protein, 7g fat, and 15g carbs. Mushrooms have 3g protein, 5g fat, and 9g carbs. The deviled eggs have 13g protein, 15g fat, 6g carbs. How many of each snack can he eat to obtain his goal. (Work if possible)
Answer by chen.aavaz(62) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's assume he eats x meatballs, y mushrooms and z eggs.
Then:
Protein: 14x+3y+13z=113 (1)
Fat: 7x+5y+15z=103 (2)
Carbs: 15x+9y+6z=132 (3)
(3)-(2)-(1): we get y:
Then we substitute (4) in (1) and (2) and get:
x=4
y=6
z=3
