V = 5
X = 10
L = 50
C = 100
M = 1000

Combining the numbers is either additive or subtractive depending on the order you place them. For example, MC is 1100 since we can think of it as M + C = 1000 + 100 = 1100, but CM is 900 and we can think of it as C - M = 1000 - 100 = 900

CM = 900
