: Height difference. A red ball and a green ball are simultaneously tossed into the air. Teh red ball is given an initial velocity of 96 feet per second, and its height t seconds after it is tossed is -16t^2 + 96t feet. The green ball is given an initial velocity of 80 feet per second, and its height t seconds afer it is tossed is -16t^2 + 80t feet.
a.)Can you find polynomial D(t) that represents the difference in the height of the two balls?
b). How much higher is the red ball 2 seconds after the balls are tossed?

Question 189234: Hello I have tried to figure out this problem for like two or three days and it just doesn't make since to me so if you could be so kind as to help me figure it out, I would be greatly appriciated. The question or the problem is:
The length of a rectangle is 1 less than three times it's width. The perimeter is 30 ft. Find the length of this rectangle.
You might not be able to figure it out either but if you can't I appriciate the offer anyways. Thank you so much for your help.
