IF THE BREADTH OF THE ORIGINAL RECTANGLE IS 1 WHAT IS THE LENGTH (TO 3 DECIMAL PLACES)?
COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME TO GO ABOUT ANSWERING THE ABOVE MATHS PROBLEM?
THE ANSWER I GET IS 1.134 IS THAT CORRECT!

Question 111331: The width of a rectangle is 6km less than twice its length. If its area is 216km, find the dimensions of the rectangle.
Here's what I came up with:
2x-6=216
2x-6+6=216+6
2x=222
x=111
I'm not sure about this. word problems stump me sometimes.

I wrote the equation (2W+10)*W = 3,600 sq. ft. but I do not know how to solve it.
