Question 269772: I need help with this problem:
I need help finding the perimeter of a rectangular backyard which is 6x + 6 yards. If the width is x yards, find a binomial that represents the length.
I don't where to start with this. I thought you would use the P=2(l + W) formula but it doesn't seem to work here?

Question 270012: A square has 4 equal sides. When one side of the square is increased by 4 meters and the adjacent side is multiplied by 4, a rectangle is formed. The perimeter of the rectangle is three times the perimeter of the original square. Find the length of one side of the square.
I'm stumped on even figuring a formula for this. I would appreciate any help at least getting started.
