Hi,
let the breath of the rectangle be "b"
then,
The length(L) = 3b-----(1)
Also,perimeter of a rectangle
2(L+b)=96----(2)
substitute for L in equ (2) using equ (1)
2(3b+b)=96
clear the bracket,
6b+2b=96
8b=96
divide bothside by 8
8b/8=96/8
b=12
substitute for b in equ (1) L=3b
but b=12
then,
L=3*12
L=36
The length of the rectangle is 36m and breth is 12m
Area of rectangle(A)=L*b
=36m*12m =342mē
CHEERS,
Timnewman;.
