Question 974939: A B C
W G E
Houses A, B, C need to be connected to water, gas, and electricity (W,G,E) without any of the pipes or wires crossing over eachother. This is a Henry Dudeney puzzle and I believe it does not work. However, suppose one of the houses, say B, is willing to let a pipe from his neighbors connections pass through his house. Then can all the connections be made? If so how?

All three connect to the gas and electric, but C can't get to the water unless B allows C to connect to the water source through his house.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
