Hello! I need help with this geometry problem. So far, I have x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8=44
4x+20=44
24/4=6
I'm not sure if this is the correct way to do this? Please help me. Thanks!

let x be first even integer, then x+2 is the second even integer
Perimeter(P) = 44 and 2l + 2w = P, therefore
2x +2(x+2) = 44
2x +2x+4 = 44
4x = 40
x = 10 so we have
10 and 12 as the solution, length=10 and width=12

2*10 + 2*12 = 44
20 +24 = 44
44 = 44
