Answer by jpvn2015(54)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P = L + W + L + W = 2L + 2W
So the perimeter = 68
Thus, 68 = 2L + 2W
L = 3W
Substitute that new equation in:
68 = 6W + 2W
68 = 8W
W = 8.5 inches
L = 3W = 3(8.5) = 25.5 inches
Thus, the length is 25.5 inches and the width is 8.5 inches.
