Question 942604: If a rectangle has a area of 144m squared. What is the width, if the length is three times it's width?
Answer by macston(5194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
W=width L=length=3W
A=L x W =144 sq m
(3W)(W)=144 sq m
divide each sidde by 3

find Square root of each side

CHECK
A=L x W=3W x W

144 sq m=48(3)sq m
144 sq m= 144 sq m
