There are many possibke ways to get a perimeter of 20 without restrictions,
but let's look at 3 ways only and assume it is a rectangle
From our formula for perimeter of rectangle, 2*l + 2*w = 20
l+w =10
where l is the length and w is the width
From our equation above,
1) Making l=5 and w=5,
2)Making l =6 and w=4,
3)Making l = 7 and w = 3,
all give a perimeter of 20 and many more.
Note that this assumes that the figure you are talking about is a rectangle.
