A = Lw

(3w-4)w = 55 yd^2

3w^2 - 4w - 55 = 0  (tossing out negative solution for unit measure)

(3w+11)(w-5) = 0

w = 5 yd  and L = 11yd 

And...checking

(11yd)(5yd) = 55yd^2
