Question 914759: the art teacher displays fourth grade student's paintings on a bulletin board. Each painting is 24 inches wide and covers 108 square inches of the bulletin board. What is the length of each painting. This is a 4th grade math area question. My son came up with
A=LXW
108=Lx24
108/24=L
L=4.5
However, we did not think there would be a decimal number for 4th grade math
