Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"The length of a rectangle is eight centimeters greater than twice the width" so L = 2W+8
The length is 54, which means L = 54
L = 2W+8
54 = 2W+8
54-8 = 2W
46 = 2W
2W = 46
W = 46/2
W = 23
The width is 23
