Let width be W
Then length, or L = 2W + 3 ----- eq (i)
Since 2(W + L) = perimeter, then: 2(W + L) = 30____2(W + L) = 2(15)_____W + L = 15 ------- eq (ii)
W + 2W + 3 = 15 ------- Substituting 2W + 3 for L in eq (ii)
3W + 3 = 15
3W = 12
W, or width = , or m
