Question 892480: What could be an expression for the perimeter of a rectangle that's length is three times its width?
Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
w = width
3w = length
Perimeter = 2(width) + 2(length)
Perimeter = 2(w) + 2(3w) {substituted w for width and 3w for length}
= 2w + 6w {multiplied}
= 8w
