I need help to answer this question, I have tried but I just don't remember how to do it. The problem goes something like,
The width of a certain rectangle is 3 meters more than half its length. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 204 meters, what is the length of the rectangle?
I really want to know how to solve this problem for any future problems that i may get like it. thank you
Let length of rectangle be L
Then width (W) of rectangle is: , or
2L + 2W = Perimeter of a rectangle
------ Substituting for W
2L + L + 6 = 204
3L = 204 - 6
3L = 198
L, or length = , or m
You can do the check!!
If you need a complete and detailed solution, let me know!!
