Please help me solve this question and show me how you arrived at the answer, it will be greatly appreciated
The perimeter of a rectangle is 38 inches. If the length of the rectangle is six inches less than four times the width, find the area of the rectangle.

Answer by josgarithmetic(39666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=-6+4w and 2w+2L=38;
Solve that system first, and then determine wL, the area.

Observe that I translated into number symbolism from the description and told what to do but did not stepwise solve the problem.
