The length of a rectangle is 1 cm less than twice the width. The area is 45cm^2. what are the dimensions of the rectangle?

Let width be W
Then length is 2W - 1
Area: W(2W - 1) = 45

(W - 5)(2W + 9) = 0
W, or width = OR 2W = - 9 (ignore)
Length = 2(5) - 1, or
