Question 833460: find the area of a rectangle whose leanrh is twice the breadth and permeter is 30 cm.

Answer by JulietG(1812)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perimeter = 2length + 2width ["breadth'}
P = 30
L = 2W
.
Substitute the values
30 = 2(2W) + 2W
30 = 4W + 2W
30 = 6W
divide by 6
W = 5
.
If W=5, what is L?
