the length of a rectangle is 10 feet longer than the width. if the perimeter is 104 feet find the length and width of the rectangle
----------
Let the width be "w";
Then the length is "w+10"
-------------------
Perimeter = 2(width + length)
104 = 2(w + w+10)
52 = 2w + 10
2w = 42
width = 21 ft.
----
length = w +10 = 31 ft.
