Hi,

The perimeter of a rectangular parking lot is 146 yards what is the dimensions 

if the length is 7 yards less than 4 times the width



Let x represent the width and (4x-7)the length 

Question states***

 146 = 2(4x-7) + 2x

Solving for x

   10x = 160

     x = 16 yd, the width and the length is 57 yds
