Question 808582: length of a rectangle is three times its breadth.perimeter of the rectangle 40cm find its length and width

Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Breadth = x
Length = 3x
Perimeter = 2*length + 2*breadth
40 = 2(3x) + 2*x
40 = 6x + 2x
8x = 40
x = 5
Length = 15cm
Width/Breadth = 5cm
Hope this helps.
