Answer by erica65404(394)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=5W+3
P=2L+2W
54=2L+2W
plug in L
54=2(5W+3)+2W
54=10W+6+2W
54=12W+6
48=12W
W=4
plug W into L=5W+3
L=5(4)+3
L=23
The length is 23ft and the width is 4ft
