Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the fields perimeter is 224 feet find the dimensions of the field if the length is 8 feet more than the width
------
Let width be "x"
Then length = "x+8"
-------
Equation:
P = 2(width + length)
224 = 2(x + x+8)
112 = 2x+8
2x = 104
x = 52 ft (width)
x+8 = 60 ft (length)
