Question 795295: The length of a field is three times its width. If the perimeter is 64 m, what is the width of the field?
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = x
Length = 3x
Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
64 m = 2(3x) + 2(x)
64 m = 6x + 2x
8x = 64 m
x = 8 m
Width of field = 8 m
Length of field = 24 m
Hope this helps.
