Question 793882: If i have a rectangle and the perimeter is 36cm and the length is 2 times the width what is the area?

Answer by sunny1992(35)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
perimeter of rectangle=2(L+W)
let,
W=x &
L=2x
so we have,
2(x+2x)=36
(3x)=18
x=6
W=x=6
L=2x=6x2=12
Area=LxB
Area=6x12=72cm^2
