Question 790429: a rectangle is 3 times as long as it is wide. the perimeter is 48 m. find the dimension of the rectangle
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = x
Length = 3x
Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
48 = 2(3x) + 2(x)
48 = 6x + 2x
8x = 48
x = 6
Width = 6m
Length = 18m.
Hope this helps.
