Width = x
Length = x + 10
Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
68ft = 2(x + 10) + 2(x)
68ft = 2x + 20 + 2x
Collect like terms
4x + 20 = 68ft
4x = 68 - 20
4x = 48
x = 12
Width = 12 feet
Length = 22 feet.
