The length of a rectangle is 6 cm more than double the width. If the perimeter is 30 cm, what is the length of the rectangle?
--------
Let width = "x"::
Then length = "2x+6"
--------------
Equation:
P = 2(L + W)
30 = 2(2x+6 + x)
15 = 3x+6
3x = 9
x = 3 cm
---------
Width = x = 3 cm
Length = 2x+6 = 2*3+6 = 12 cm
----------------------------------
