Question 747967: A rectangle has a perimeter of 78 feet. If the width is 5 feet less than the length. what are the dimensions ?
Answer by FrankM(1040) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
W+5=L
Perimeter is the sum of 4 sides, 2W + 2L
But L=W+5 so
78= 2W+2W+10
78 = 4W + 10
68= 4W
W = 17 and L = 22
