Solution :
Let 'a' , 'b' and 'c' are the 3 consecutive even numbers.
Therefore, b = a + 2 and c = b + 2 = a + 4
Given : 3a = b + c
Substitute for b and C in terms of a.
We get, 3a = a + 2 + a + 4 = 2a + 6
or a = 6 , b = 8 , c = 10
