Answer by checkley75(3666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
BASE=2HEIGHT+3
THEREFORE THE AREA OF THE RECTANGLE IS
(2H+3)H=27
2H^2+3H-27=0
(2H+9)(H-3)=0
2H+9=0
2H=-9
H=-8/2
H=-4.5
H-3=0
H=3 FEET ANSWER
THUS THE BASE=2*3+3=6+3=9 FEET.
PROOF
3*9=27
27=27
