An isosceles trapezium is a quadrilateral with two parallel sides and two non-paralellel sides which are of equal length.
[The word "trapezium" is used only in the UK. In the USA the word is "trapezoid".]

The bases (top and bottom) of an isosceles trapezoid are parallel.
Opposite sides (legs) of an isosceles trapezoid are the same length, congruent.
The base angles of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent.
The diagonals of an isoscels trapezoid are congruent.
The diagonals of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent.
Adjacent angles (next to each other) along the sides are supplementary. This
means that their measures add up to degrees.
