the perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+w)=28 which leads to l+w=14 and by following the problem we get that w=l-6 and by subtituting we get l+(l-6)=14 which leads to 2l=20 and l=10 which leads to w=4 so teh area=l*w=10*4=40
