Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a^2 + b^2 = c^2

17^2 + 6^2 = c^2

289 + 36 = c^2

325 = c^2

c^2 = 325

c = sqrt(325)

c = sqrt(25*13)

c = sqrt(25)*sqrt(13)

c = 5*sqrt(13)

c = 18.027756

So the length of the diagonal is approximately 18.027756 feet.
