Let x = width of the rectangle
x+2 = length of the rectangle

2W + 2L = Perimeter
2(x) + 2(x+2) = 24
2x + 2x + 4 = 24
4x + 4 = 24
4x= 20
x = 5 ft width
x+2= 7 ft length

Check: 2*5 + 2*7=24 ft.
