Question 564715: The length of a rectangle is 3ft less than twice tha width of the rectangle. Tha perimeter is 174ft what is width and length
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perimeter = 174
Width = x ft
Length =(2x-3)
Perimeter =2((2x-3)+x)
Perimeter = 2(2x-3 +x)
Perimeter =4x-6+2x
174 =6x-6
174 + 6 = 6x
180 = 6x
x= 30.00 ft Width
Length = 57 ft
